Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Visitors)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies or newsletter sign-up), our legitimate interests (for example, operating and improving the Site, preventing fraud, and measuring advertising performance), and compliance with a legal obligation where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: operate, secure, and improve the Site; understand which content resonates with readers and prioritize future coverage; serve and measure the performance of advertising, including personalized advertising where permitted; track affiliate referrals so that partners can correctly attribute conversions to Dwovera; respond to inquiries, tips, and comments; send newsletters or updates to subscribers who have opted in; detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity; and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal process.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, advertising, and affiliate attribution. Full detail on the categories of cookies we use, their purposes, and how to manage your preferences is available in our Cookie Policy.

Third-Party Advertising and Affiliate Partners

Dwovera displays advertisements delivered by third-party advertising networks, which may include programmatic ad exchanges and networks such as Google AdSense or comparable providers, and includes affiliate links to products in the VPN, gaming, AI software, and general software categories, placed through affiliate networks and direct partner programs. These third parties may independently collect information about your visits to this and other websites through cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies in order to serve targeted advertisements or measure referral conversions. We do not control, and are not responsible for, these third parties’ independent data collection practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any advertising or affiliate network you interact with.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may share information with: service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as web hosting, content delivery, email delivery, and analytics; advertising networks and affiliate platforms, solely for ad delivery and referral/commission tracking; professional advisors, such as legal or accounting consultants, where necessary; law enforcement, regulators, or other parties where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dwovera, our users, or the public; and a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of some or all of our assets.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including operating the Site, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. Analytics data is generally retained in aggregated or anonymized form for longer periods for trend analysis. Where you have submitted a request to delete your data, we will do so unless retention is required by law.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including restricted access to systems containing personal data and use of reputable third-party service providers. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

Your Privacy Rights

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR) You have the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising purposes. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA) California residents have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and for what purposes, to request deletion of personal information, to request correction of inaccurate information, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Dwovera does not sell personal information for monetary payment; certain advertising and affiliate-tracking cookies may nonetheless constitute “sharing” under CCPA’s broad definition, and you can opt out through our cookie consent tool or by contacting us directly.

Other U.S. States Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including but not limited to Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others as such laws take effect) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. We honor applicable requests consistent with the law of your state of residence.

Other Jurisdictions If you are located in a jurisdiction with its own data protection framework (such as Canada’s PIPEDA or Australia’s Privacy Act), you may have comparable rights under that law. Contact us and we will address your request in accordance with applicable law.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@dwovera.com with your request and sufficient information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers support “Do Not Track” signals or the Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where legally required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including GPC, as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for California residents.

International Data Transfers

Because Dwovera is accessible globally, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including countries that may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal data originating in the EEA or UK.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 16 (or under 13 for purposes of the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, “COPPA”), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe we may have collected such information should contact us at admin@dwovera.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date, and where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
